Review literature, write research reports, articles, and grants, and assist in other research and grant activities of the SIUC Center for Rural Health and Social Services. Writing and coordinating applications/proposals for large multi-year projects funded by NIH or HRSA. PI and lead evaluator for the HRSA Delta Initiative in Illinois ($1,285,680): CATCH on to Health! and the Caring Connections Coalition IEP telepsychiatry program. Evaluate SIH/SHS school-based health center initiative (~15,000). PI on HRSA Rural Health Planning Grant CRHSSD subcontract (~17,000) (awardee Southern Illinois Healthcare ~$85,000). Lead Location Investigator, Co-Investigator for Community Engagement, and PI on CRHSSD subcontract (~$3.1 million) (awardee Saint Louis University ~$13 million) on the Johnson, Union, and Williamson Counties National Children’s Study location. Independent Consultant. Wrote a grant narrative in response to a request for proposals from the Illinois Department of Public Health. The goal of the grant was to increase the mental health service capacity in southern Illinois. As a result of the grant application, Shawnee Health Service was awarded $1.05 million to expand community mental health services.
